Lake Licheńskie (Ślesin Commune)

- Type: Typical ribbon lake
- Water freezing: The lake does not freeze year-round (only in exceptionally cold winters).
Dominant species: grass carp, silver carp, tench, bream, perch, roach, zander, European catfish, pike, grass carp, eel, rudd, common and silver crucian carp.
The lake offers excellent conditions for fishing from the shore, by boat, and during the day. Nearby, there is a marina, pier, direct access to the fishing spots, boat rental, a fishing shelter, and a tackle shop.
Around the lake, you can visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Licheń.
Lake Pątnowskie (Konin)
- Depth: 283 m
- Water Quality Class: II
- Type: Ribbon lake, part of a 32-kilometer navigable channel that connects the Warta River with Lake Gopło, including Lakes Mikorzyńskie and Ślesińskie.
Dominant species: carp, pike, zander, bream, trout.
The lake is surrounded by a forest, offering beautiful walking areas. It is located along the Konin - Bydgoszcz route, with very good access. Nearby, there are resorts offering cabins and rooms at affordable prices.
Lake Gosławskie (Konin - Gosławice)
- Area: 380 ha
- Depth: 3 m
Dominant species: crucian carp, chub, dace, bream, tench, perch, roach, zander, pike, catfish, gudgeon, bleak, as well as carp, grass carp, and silver and black carp.
The water is somewhat murky, and the shores are mainly unvaried, with most of them being concrete and some overgrown with reed clusters. The lakebed is soft, sandy, and gently sloping towards the center of the lake.
A significant advantage of this lake is that it never freezes, thanks to the Pątnów power plant, which discharges warm water into it.
Ślesińskie Lake (Ślesin Commune)

- Depth: 25.7 m
- Water quality class: II
- The Ślesiński Canal (32 km long) runs through Lake Ślesińskie, connecting it to Lake Gopło.
Dominant species: roach, bream, carp, crucian carp, perch, tench, grass carp, and bighead carp.
The lake's shores are generally quite high and accessible to anglers. In only a few places, a 3-4-meter reed belt may make fishing difficult (local fishermen have built numerous footbridges over the reeds). On the eastern and northwestern sides, the shores are covered by forest, where many footbridges can also be found.
Tourist attraction: The Triumphal Arch in Ślesin.
Wąsosko-Mikorzyńskie Lake (Ślesin Commune)
- Area: 251.8 ha
- Depth: from 11.5 m to 36.5 m
- Water quality class: II
- One of the four lakes in the so-called Ślesiński Canal
- A trough-shaped reservoir, part of the so-called Gopło Trough, which is characterized by significant depths.
Dominant species: bream, carp, bleak, perch, zander, roach, tench, and eels.
Around the lake, there are numerous piers, and the area is lush with greenery, predominantly mixed forests.
Łężyński Canal (Ślesin Commune)
- Located 20 km from Konin
- Width: 17-20 m
- Depth: 3.5 m
- The embankment is steep and short, covered with shrubs, which may hinder the organization of fishing spots.
Dominant species: bleak, but you can also find chub, crucian carp, carp, bream, perch, roach, tench, and pike.
When fishing in the canal, agility and speed are key. The bait must be clouding, so it should include fillers, such as clay.
Mąkolno Lake (Sompolno Commune)
- Area: 82.4 ha
- Depth: 2.5 m
- Water quality class: II
- The bottom is hard, with some areas slightly silted.
Dominant species: grass carp, pike, zander, tench, and crucian carp.
A great spot for both professional anglers and beginners, as here you won’t return home empty-handed. It’s worth mentioning that several fish over 10 kg can be found in these waters!
Budzisławskie Lake (Kleczew Commune)
- Area: 140.8 ha
- Depth: from 11 m to 35 m
- The lake is renowned for its water clarity, which exceeds 7 meters.
- A typical lake for trout fishing.
Dominant species: trout, roach, tench, pike, perch, eel, catfish, and bream.
Access to the lake is good, which contributes to the popularity of baiting and shore fishing for bream. Bream in these waters can grow to impressive sizes, reaching up to 6 kg.
Kownackie Lake, also known as Mrówieckie or Wójcińskie (Wilczyn Commune)
- Area: 160.4 ha
- Depth: from 5.7 m to 22.7 m
- A glacial, trough-shaped lake.
Dominant species: carp, perch, roach.
Wilczyńskie Lake (Wilczyn Commune)
- Area: 173.8 ha
- Depth: from 7.8 m to 24.9 m
- Water quality class: II
- A trough-shaped lake.
Dominant species: roach, carp, tench.
Near Wilczyn, holiday resorts are located close to the lake. The shores of the lake are significantly elevated.
Skulskie Lake (Skulsk Commune)
- Area: 124.3 ha
- Depth: 6.7 m, maximum 17.6 m
- Water quality class: III
- The lake has two islands: a larger one with an area of 0.18 ha located in the central part of the lake, and a smaller one with an area of 0.02 ha located on the eastern shore.
- The shoreline is poorly developed.
Dominant species: bream, perch, carp, eel.
Retention Reservoir on the Powia River (Stare Miasto)
- Area: 90.7 ha
- Depth: depends on the water level of the Powia River (subject to flood risk)
- Water quality class: unclassified
Dominant species: roach, perch, pike, tench, carp, grass carp.
Built in 2005, the reservoir has a fisherman-friendly shoreline – low banks, no steep slopes, and no trees immediately above the water. Only a small section has a belt of emergent vegetation, which makes fishing from the shore somewhat difficult.
Important information: There is a complete ban on fishing from floating devices!
