Tourist route commemorating the events of the Polish-Swedish 1655-1660 war, and in particular its first period from the capitulation of Ujść to the concentration of opponent armies near Konin and Koło, where an attempt to sign a peace treaty with Carl Gustav was undertaken.

The route joins places located within the Konin, Koło and Turek district.
It is indicated by: Konin – Tuliszków – Brudzew – Koło – Brdów – Gosławice – Kazimierz Biskupi – Przyjma.

Near Konin Swedish armies moving towards Koło, where on the hills of the Powiercie village, king Carl Gustav accepted Krzysztof Przyjemski, envoy of the Polish king Jan Kazimierz trying to negotiate signing the peace treaty, were to concentrate. On the route between we visit Tuliszków, where after the capitulation in Ujść Krzysztof Opaliński, Voivode of Poznań  and starost of Konin, resided, who died soon after that in his castle in Włoszakowice. The following place is Brudzew with one of sparse palazzo in fortezza type palaces, destroyed by the army of the enemy. On our way we visit the castle in Koło, and then we admire the panoramic view on Koło from the hill of the Powiercie village, from Erik Dahlberg, the draughtsman accompanying king Carl Gustav, marvelled the same view.

The nest stage of our journey is the Pauline monastery (dependent on Częstochowa) in Brdów, city destroyed by the Swedes; Gosławice with the castle, which was also destroyed by enemies. From this place we move to Kazimierz Biskupi. The stay and activities of the Swedes in this place – once a town – were described in the monastery’s chronicle written by Dominik Elewski. Finally, we visit Przyjma, where relics of Przyjemscy family, a family of high merit for Poland and Wielkopolska, tenement house – fortified court – can be seen. The above-mentioned Krzysztof Przyjemski, the negotiator  of the peace treaty rejected by the Swedes near Koło, was from this place. Court in Przyjma is one of the sparse preserved gentry estates, similar to the famous Halszka Tower in Szamotuły.

Those interested in this route will familiarise themselves with source texts mentioning the stay of the Swedes in eastern Wielkopolska, old descriptions of the preserved facilities, their destruction and biographies of the heroes of the Swedish Deluge.
